I'm including this article in my blog as a good example of how deeply I have been influenced by the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda. Born in 1893, the great guru came to the United States in 1920, and traveled throughout America on Spiritual Campaigns. I first read his book, Autobiography of a Yogi in 1974, and immediately thereafter started the practice of meditation. 


Through Yogananda's teachings and through the practice yoga and meditation, I was initiated in the sacred art of Kriya and became Kriyaban. Eventually, after many years of meditative practice and deep devotion to Omnipresence, I found Self-realization.

Getting in Touch with Your Soul’s Yearning

Everyone’s soul yearning is to be fully linked with God. Yet most people are not aware of their soul, and thus are not in touch with their soul’s yearning. Still, however, there are a few who are in touch, and for these people, the deepest desire of their heart is to increase their spiritual awareness until they blissfully experience God directly in two-way dialogue. 

Although many people have been indoctrinated by their churches and religions to believe that God is accessible through prayer, but he/she will virtually never answer you back, in reality God is, as the great Indian guru, Paramahansa Yogananda proclaimed, “the nearest of the near, the dearest of the dear”, and through a combination of deep, one-pointed meditation, mixed with the intense yearning of a heart filled with love, you can directly experience God, and you can commune with him/her more intimately than you would ever have guessed as a possibility.

Have you ever thought about experiencing God directly and actually communicating with Him/Her? Did you realize that such a thing is possible? Many people do not realize the possibility of contacting God directly because they have been conditioned by their churches and religions that such a thing can never happen. Nevertheless, from the stated experiences of many great sages and masters who have come before, two-way communication with God is possible to those who are one-minded about their desire for God, and who have a total commitment to achieving this most important goal.

The keys are commitment and meditation.

A word on commitment by W.H. Murray…

A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. 

Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now!”

The most important, most fulfilling thing you can do in your life is to develop your commitment to commune with God, and to develop the means to achieve this goal through one-pointed meditation and concentration...By focusing on these two things, commitment and meditation you will find that many things you have been worried about in daily life will work themselves out in ways you would never have guessed possible.

“Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all else shall be manifested unto you.”

How I Became a Professional

I have been doing professional Psychic Readings for 15 years.  From the first day I started, I have been very successful.  At first, I was very surprised, because I didn't realize that people would respond so positively and so quickly because at that point, I didn't even have a business card, and it came up in conversations with people quite by accident.   But people did respond...so much so that I made some business cards and started handing them out to people wherever I went.  


When I offered my card, people were extremely thankful, and usually wanted to schedule with me right away.  That was the reason I started to realize that people were very open to me and were more than willing to come to me for a psychic reading.  I've since learned why that is, but at the time, I felt very amazed about the strong, positive response both before the actual psychic angel reading and after.


From that point, people have always continued coming to me, and many of them tell their friends and relatives to call me as well...  


To continue my story,...one day, in needing to find a present for a friend, I went to a wonderful metaphysical bookstore in Bellevue, Washington...and as I browsed the store, I was suddenly nudged by an Angel to ask the storekeeper a question..."Do you have psychic readers here...and if so, could I apply?"


Even though I'd been doing Psychic Readings for friends and relatives for many years, prior to that moment, I had never considered applying in a store to be a professional Psychic Reader.  The very fact that I asked the question was a surprise to me...The lady watching the store at the time was not the owner, but was a main decision maker for the metaphysical bookstore.  Her name was Pam and she was very nice.


Her answer to my question was, "Yes we do."


Pam told me there would be a featured presentation on the following Friday evening, and asked me to come to the event and bring my Psychic Reader resume with me. With her encouragement I went home and created 
my Psychic Reader resume and a few days later, went to the presentation--resume in hand.


When I got there, I handed Pam my Psychic Reader resume, and she directed me to the back room where people were sitting just before the presentation started.  That evening, in turned out that Tess, the store's proprietor, was the one giving the presentation and the topic that evening was Voice Dialogue, something I knew nothing about.


The presentation itself brought about a major unexpected transition in my life.  In fact, it had an extraordinary effect.  As a result of the change that happened to me that evening, I almost immediately got out of an unhappy relationship I'd been in for many years.


Voice Dialogue, a form of hypnosis which I learned to do later, is a technique that brings out parts of our personalities to key into and help us understand who we really are and why we do the things we do.  When Tess asked for a volunteer to come up on stage, my hand shot up.  I was very surprised about the hand shooting up, because I was a very shy person, and volunteering to go on-stage for any reason was typically not at all what I was comfortable with.  In fact, it was the kind of thing I would never have imagined myself doing before. 


But, when she called me up, despite my shyness, I stood up, walked to the front of the room, and as directed by Tess, sat in a chair in front of everyone. At that point, she took me through a series of simple exercises that quickly and permanently changed my perspective on my life, my self, and the way I had previously been conducting my life--allowing others to control me.  


Since Tess didn't know me at the time, I'm sure she had no idea whatever of the potential outcome of the demonstration, but what happened that night was amazing.  I realized I'd been giving my personal power away to my (then) husband, and that he had been unfairly and unjustly taking advantage of me and treating me badly. For this reason, I was very unhappy.


One week later, I left my marriage.  This is something I should have done years before, but ironically, it took Tess's help and the Voice Dialogue form of hypnosis to finally wake me up and cause me to realize I had the right to get out and start my life anew.  I had the right to be happy.

So one week after that event, I took my kids and moved in with a friend. However, due to the intensity of the situation, I totally forgot about my application to work at the metaphysical bookstore as an in-house Psychic Reader.  It completely slipped my mind.


Then, one evening I received a phone call from Pam, who had diligently worked to track me down since my phone number had changed.  But because she was so impressed by my credentials as stated on my resume, she worked hard to find me, with the result that she got my new phone number at my friend's house, and called me there.  

Pam then asked me if I'd be willing to come to the metaphysical bookstore and give her a "test drive"  demonstration of my Psychic Reading skills.

I agreed and booked the appointment.  When the appointment occurred and I gave her a Psychic Angel Reading, the accuracy of the information coupled with the emotions the information brought up in her caused Pam to cry.  She wept because, not only was my reading completely accurate, (as she stated), but it also touched her very deeply.


That was the beginning.  Pam agreed to bring me in as an in-house Psychic Reader, and the first time I was to start was in August, 1996--one year after I had started to do Professional Psychic Readings initially.  What happened next was amazing...
